Tomáš Hanzlíček
He studied guitar at Pilsen Conservatory and The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in Prof. Milan Zelenka’s class. During his studies, he became a finalist in numerous international competitions and took part in many masterclasses.
He regularly makes recordings for Czech Radio and has premiered several compositions by contemporary authors. He cooperates as a guest artist with Convergence, an ensemble premiering compositions by young Czech composers. In addition to his solo performances, he also focuses on chamber music. Together with his colleague and former classmate Jan Tuláček, they founded a duo that plays the 19th-century guitar music using historical instruments. He also studied bass guitar at Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. He was a member of Václav Hybš Orchestra, Eliška’s band of Jan Budař, a band member of an ocean liner MS Berlin and many other jazz and pop bands. He is an author of a musical for children and has persistently been involved in a number of projects concerning the education of the youngest. Currently, he’s a member of DJKT Musical Orchestra in Pilsen.
He teaches at Pilsen Conservatory, Sokolovská Art School, and Musikschule Eschenbach i. d. Opf. in Germany.
